How do I know that the poster I'm buying is the best quality available?

All UniversalPoster.com products are licensed from the official management companies or agents of the celebrities, sports personalities, entertiners, musicians, artists, actors and actresses who appear on this site.

This means that as a consumer you are receiving great value for money, simply because the posters you buy on UniversalPoster.com are the best possible quality and the first choice of the celebrity and their representatives.

Additionally within the terms of our licensing agreement we are bound to assure you, the customer, of the very highest quality of both production values and customer service.

Some other online companies sell product that is licensed from freelance photographers only, or in some instances, not licensed at all. This limits your choice, and lacks the assurance that you are buying the best "Official" product available.

How do I know my personal information is safe?

UniversalPoster.com values our customers and when using our website we know how important privacy is to you. Accordingly, we have implemented a strict Privacy Policy to inform you of the information that we collect from you, how we collect it, and what we do with it.

When you enter sensitive information such as a credit card number, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and follow leading industry standards to protect your personal information. We do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We will not re-sell your information, and will not email you with special offers without your explicit consent.

What if my poster arrives damaged or is incorrect?

UniversalPoster.com offers a comprehensive, no quibble, "Total Satisfaction Guarantee."

What this means is if your poster arrived damaged, or is the wrong item, or has the wrong personal message, or is not the quality that you expected, we will offer you either a free replacement product (to the same product value), or a 100% refund. All you need to do is contact customerservice@universalposter.com within 30 days of the purchase date.

How will my poster be packaged and despatched?

All UniversalPoster.com posters and frames are carefully packaged to minimise the risk of damage, by using robust packaging products and by hand packing.

All goods need to be signed for, and to ensure their speedy arrival, will be delivered to a neighbour if you are unavailable at the time of delivery.

All unframed posters are despatched throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the World using "signed for" Royal Mail services. This means that you can find out who signed for your delivery using the Royal Mail's online "Track and Trace" services. See the customer support page for further details.

All framed posters are despatched throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the World using Businesspost. Using your own reference number you can track your delivery at www.businesspost.biz.

In most instances shipment are charged at cost plus a small allowance for protective packaging.

How long will it take for my poster to arrive?

All posters ship within 2 - 3 days from order. Delivery times vary, but in general UK deliveries are between 1 - 3 days, and international deliveries between 2 - 7 days dependant upon location, seasonal traffic, and other external factors beyond our immediate control, such as industrial action and flight cancellation etc. It is for this reason that UniversalPoster.com allows up to 10 days for shipment prior to replacement goods being authorised.

Do prices include VAT and local duties?

VAT is charged on goods sold within the European Union only.

Prices listed on the website are exclusive of Duties and/or VAT. Orders outside the EU may be subject to local taxes, import duties or customs charges. UniversalPoster.com is unable to accept responsibility for charges levied by other countries as customs policies vary widely from country to country. We suggest you contact your local customs office for further information. Please also be aware that cross-border shipments may be subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

If your poster is intended as a gift, please inform Customs accordingly as this may minimise or indeed negate any local duties that might otherwise be chargeable.

What do the personalisation services mean?

These services are unique to universalposter.com, and allow you to personalise your poster with a message or greeting that you invent, such as "To Sandy, warm wishes and love, Cliff". Your chosen message will be digitally printed on your poster in handwriting style that accurately mimics the celebrities' writing style, accompanied by a digital facsimile of their signature.

How are the posters printed?

All UniversalPoster.com posters are printed in RGB colours using state-of-the-art HP DesignJet technology. Used for the very highest quality photos, posters, maps and fine art, the HP DesignJest printer delivers outstanding image quality and durability.

What paper are the posters printed on?

Most commercial posters are printed onto between 100gsm and 170gsm standard art papers, all UniversalPoster.com posters are printed onto a heavier grade 190gsm high white satin photo paper. This ensures better ink coverage and detail, a photographic finish and most importantly, a more durable poster.

What is lamination?

Lamination is a low cost alternative to framing, which helps prolong the life of your poster, and improves the visual presentation.

A sheet of high gloss clear plastic laminate is heat sealed to the photo paper and trimmed flush. The overall effect is of a glossy and more substantial and durable poster, i.e. less easy to damage, stain and crease.

What sort of frames do you use?

UniversalPoster.com have chosen "Premier Quality Photo-Frames" made from wood composites and durable plastic moldings. Manufactured in England, these elegant frames feature a matt black outer frame, with a silver inset bead. All frames have inset glass or super clear acrylic, with hanging hooks on the reverse allowing you to display your pictures both horizontally or vertically.

All posters are hand framed in England.

Unframed, the posters sizes are 20"x 16" (50.8cm x 40.6cm) and 16" x 12" (40.6cm x 30.5cm). Once framed, the outer black frame size is 24" x 19 3/4" (60cm x 50cm) and 19 3/4" x 15 3/4" (50cm x 40cm) respectively. The inner 'visual' poster area when framed is 19 3/4" x 15" (50cm x 40cm) and 15 3/4" x 11" (39.5cm x 29.5cm) respectively.
